Esther Tyson nee Simpson is an inductee into the Ardenne Alumnae Hall of Fame as she is a former head girl of Ardenne High School who also became the principal from 2000 to 2011. During her career as an educator she became involved in many aspects of leadership in secondary education in Jamaica, and for which she received several accolades and awards. She has served the Ministry of Education on the Education Inspectorate and also as an external examiner for Mico University and the University of the West Indies.
